Make choices and pursue different things in life based on how they make you feel. And these feelings of whether a choice feels right or wrong is rooted from your religion. If you truly believe in your religion then I believe it is because you have had moments where you feel something or are awakened to another perception of life which you never would have attained had it not been for your religion. And because of that intense feeling, you start to establish what feels good or what feels bad in life.
If something you are doing feels right, then follow it but if it does not, then obviously it isn’t your calling. This might seem very fundamental but I don’t think because I just learned this from a friend today.
